I come to education as a second career after many years in customer service and pharmaceutical sales.  I caught the teaching "bug" while training adults as part of my sales job in a major pharmaceutical company.  I decided to combine my love of teaching, my passion for working with children, and my desire to help kids get through those tough spots in school.

 

Working with my own children showed me that trying to teach your own kids can be terribly stressful for both parent and child.  Many of my sessions with my own kids ended up with meltdowns, tears, and slammed doors.  In other words, I GET IT!  This tension can be particularly horrible when it comes to math, as for many parents, 20 years may have passed since you took the material your children are working on.

 

I am enthusiastic, have a great sense of humor, and will work to come up with new ways to help your child succeed!
